Impromptu are very good at slipping into tight or unusual spaces!

Prices start from £350 depending on where the event is, how long you want music for and how many musicians you require.

Impromptu usually play for up to two-and-a-half hours including one or two breaks. However, if you book more than one act this can stretch to longer.

Impromptu frequently provide all the music for an event – solo piano for wedding ceremonies, duo for dinner jazz and jazz band for something livelier later on. It is easier and cheaper for you to have all your musicians in place in one go! We will discount the individual prices and give you one price, and one contract.

Impromptu will play background CDs during breaks if you would like that (or if you prefer your own CDs we’ll play those for you). We can also provide a harpist, string quartet or disco. One price, one point of contact, one contract for everything.

The ideal is always to have a good grand piano at your venue, recently tuned. Failing that, Impromptu will bring an electric piano (please let us know).

Impromptu require a safe, 240 volt power point close to where they will be playing. Soft drinks and sandwiches are much appreciated as well, or better still a hot veggie meal. If it’s to play outside, please provide shade and cover e.g. a gazebo, to combat rain or sun.

Yes! If we don’t know it already, we’ll learn it. Please give us at least a month’s notice.

Please listen to the clips on our home page, and/or please ask us for details of public gigs. Even if you can’t see the actual line up you require you can meet Neal & Sue and have a chat with them.

Please contact Impromptu either by email or phone. When you’re happy with all the details, Impromptu will send you a contract (based on the Musicians’ Union’s standard contract) so you know it’s all booked and insured.

Please send a 10% deposit with the contract. Please pay by cheque (payable to Impromptu) or cash on or before your event. If you would rather pay by BACS please contact Impromptu for the details.

Yes, we are covered for public liability by the Musicians’ Union. A copy is available on request. All our gear is PAT tested.
